The daiza was crafted by Suzuki Koji and has his maker's signature carved on the underside. Suzuki is widely regarded as one of the best daiza carvers of modern
times and crafted many pieces until his sad passing in 2015.

a large overhang extending to the left giving tension and drama to the stone.
